About this organisation
Reclaim Era is the environmental sustainability initiative of LAMP Educational and Charitable Trust in Bengaluru. It collects discarded clothes, textiles and household items and puts them back into use. Wearable clothing and essentials go to families in need, low-income women are trained to upcycle fabric into new products, and material that cannot be reused is sent to recyclers instead of landfill or open burning. Proceeds from the upcycled goods fund teacher salaries and classrooms, so saved fabric pays for a child's education.
