About this organisation
TWIN collects textiles from your doorstep anywhere in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, then sorts them by condition and fibre before deciding where each piece goes. Wearable clothes move into reuse and redistribution. Torn and unwearable ones, which most collection drives refuse outright, are routed for recovery rather than landfill. You book over WhatsApp by sharing your pincode, address and rough quantity, and their team comes on the slot you pick. They also run collection drives with housing societies, offices, schools and NGOs. So far they have diverted 14,560 kg of textiles and worked with more than 550 households.
